Roman Patwary grew up in Queens, New York. He finished his memorization of the Quran in 2011 while in college. After college he went on to attend medical school. Concurrently, he continued his studies in Quran recitation and the Arabic language. In 2020, he enrolled in the Qalam Institute Seminary where he currently continues to study in the Aalimiyah Program. 

Roman is a practicing anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician. 

He currently resides in Long Island with his wife and children, and is an active member of Hillside Islamic Center.
